Shot in Cave Creek, AZ in 2018, Under My Skin was Exit Reality’s first short film outing since the company’s relocation to Phoenix, AZ in 2017. On a hike through the desert to capture some of the landscape’s most deadly creatures on film, a man is drawn into a dark, mysterious cave leading him to make contact with one of the desert’s most fabled dark entities. One of the most exciting aspects to the process for Under My Skin was being able to film such a dynamic array of indigenous wildlife without obstructing the natural habitat, showcasing the terribly horrific beauty that the deserts of Arizona possess. We also had the rare treat of experiencing flash floods and rainfall while shooting in the desert, camping out in the cave while waiting for the weather to clear.
